Netflix Raising Subscription Price

Netflix Raising Subscription Starting May 12, 2014, a Netflix subscription will cost one dollar more per month. Instead of the past price $7.99 per month, the cost will now be $8.99. The current netflix subscribers will still pay the old fee of $7.99 per month for the next two years. Only new members will have to pay $8.99 per month. Since this change in subscription costs Netflix shares ,in the stock market, have gone up 2% to about $329.00.
I found this story interesting because in order to keep streaming recent shows on Netflix, the company has to raise the price for subscriptions.
