The reason for all of this is Hong Kong. Hong Kong is a democratic city although the rest of china is not. Which means it has free rights like America. There is an election coming up for the new mayor and the government only gave five people to choose from. This is causing riots in Hong Kong and there forces are using tear gas to break up the riots. Finally I get to my point. The Chinese government has blocked access to Instagram which is only causing even more riots. This will cost China millions of dollars.
Since with all the protests cellular connection is slow. So people are going to Firechat which does not need an internet connection because it uses a mesh combination. (bluetooth & wifi) It was downloaded by millions of Chinese! Thanks for reading!
